Our guest bedroom mood board is something I’ve thought about for a long time now. From the very beginning, I knew I wanted the guest bedroom to be a mix of old and new, so I decided to shop my home and reuse existing furniture that I already owned. When Rami and I were newly married (can’t believe we’re going on eleven years this year), this furniture set was the first thing we bought for our home from Restoration Hardware. This set holds a lot of sentimental value for me and represents a pivotal time in my life, so it’s not something I want to get rid off. Therefore, I built the room around these pieces.
Next, I debated between using paint or wallpaper, but ultimately settled on Selvedge. Its the most beautiful, striking, yet calming shade of blue from Farrow and Ball. I painted the walls and ceiling the same color. The furniture will be a high contrast against the color, and I can’t to see it all installed!! It’s been six long month of renovations to get to the point of having one bedroom complete. Even though this is our guest bedroom, we will be using it as our primary bedroom as we continue the renovations. I’ve sourced and collected some beautiful pieces for this room.
